Our environmental impact

New Process Corporation believes that we can produce top quality products while minimizing our impact on the environment. To commit to this philosophy, New Process Corporation has implemented several policies that ensure a continuous and sustainable working environment is maintained.

169 REACH SVHC Policy

Our suppliers are routinely contacted and have confirmed that raw materials used to produce the components used for our printed products are compliant concerning the content of the 169 REACH SVHC Chemical Substances on the Candidate List as of June 20, 2016. None of these substances are knowingly used or intentionally added during the manufacturing processes.

Please note that we do not routinely analyze all of the comments of our products and it is, therefore, not possible for us to state categorically that our products are “free” from all of these substances as trace amounts may be naturally present in the environment, giving the potential for low-level contamination.

DRC Conflict Free Policy

New Process Corporation (NPC) supports worldwide concerns that metals mined in conflict areas of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) may be making their way into the electronics supply chain. NPC works with its suppliers to ensure that they do not knowingly obtain Gold, Columbite-Tantalum, Wolframite or Cassiterite from conflict areas of the DRC. NPC is continually surveying our supply chain regarding sourcing and procurement of Gold, Columbite-Tantalum, Wolframite, and Cassiterite as well with their derivatives Tin, Tungsten and Tantalum.

While NPC makes every effort to abstain from the use of these conflict minerals, due to traceability issues, NPC cannot verify with 100% certainty that our supply chain is Conflict Free until better oversight in the DRC and a more transparent supply chain may be established.

Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act

New Process complies with the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act passed by the US Congress in 2021. The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, prohibits the importation of any goods made in whole or in part in the Xinjiang Province of China from entering the US.

RoHS Compliance

New Process Corporation complies with all rules and regulations set forth by the European Union (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive that took effect July 1, 2006.

As stated in the Directive, NPC products do not exceed the maximum allowable concentration limit of 0.1% by weight in homogeneous materials for lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) and of 0.01% by weight for Cadmium. NPC continually works with our suppliers to ensure that our materials continue to meet RoHS compliance standards.

CaliforniA Proposition 65

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.  These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. Through communication with our customers, suppliers, and partners, we encourage learning more at Proposition 65 Warnings Website - Your right to know at www.p65warnings.ca.gov

New Process Sustainability Policy

Holds paramount the idea that a consistently sustainable business operation is vital to success in the industry. Through communication with our customers, suppliers, and partners, we will continue to improve our products while simultaneously reducing our impact on the surrounding environment. NPC will be conscious of our decisions and reflect on their implications to ensure a responsible and ethical working environment.

In our efforts to succeed, NPC will:

  • Put the safety and well-being of our employees first. We will comply with all local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. We will continue to meet these standards and implement new policies as they change. We will persistently inform our employees of all environmental, health, and safety issues and discuss what measures should be taken to avoid any incidence.
  • NPC will conduct critical, internal analysis of our production methods to ensure that everything within our influence is done to minimize wasteful manufacturing. NPC will hold annual review meetings to assess our methods and brainstorm new ideas to maintain and better a sustainable workflow.
  • NPC will promote an Earth-oriented attitude among our employees such that they may live and work in a sustainable manner. NPC wants our employees to be conscious of their actions. We will use our consumables more efficiently and make an effort to repurpose products that do not meet NPC quality standards. We will participate in programs such as CORE (Curriculum Opportunities & Resources for Educators) to turn unwanted or unusable material into an art supply resource for local school children.
  • NPC will use sustainable printing methods such as UV LED curing technology to reduce our release of pollutants and lower our energy consumption. We will perform preventative maintenance on our building and our equipment to ensure that all are operating in a safe and efficient manner.

NPC will communicate these objectives with our affiliates and the public to push forward our idea of sustainable business. NPC will continue to work for a successful, more sustainable tomorrow.
